Nutrition Main Lesson

January 29 - February 16, 2007

Grade 12

Instructor: Jane Siemon

The 12th grade Foods and Nutrition class will be having this class for the fourth time in their high school career.  Many of them are great cooks.  In this class we will prepare an Herb and Spice notebook for their future reference.  We will work with fish cookery, some ethnic cooking, and dumpling making.  We will talk about Weston Price and his classic studies of native diets and their influence on physique and health.  We will spend at least the last week of class cooking for the Valentine Dinner which will be on February 17th.  I am looking forward to working with all these enthused and experienced cooks. --Jane Marie
