Kirsten grew up in Chicago and made her way to Viroqua in 2012. Her lifelong interest in sexuality, reproductive health, relationship dynamics, power and conflict and non violent communication led her to a position teaching at YIHS and she couldn’t be happier! She believes that sexual education should be pleasure positive, gender/sexuality inclusive and consent based and works hard to make sure that her curriculum creates a safe space for all students.
